Correctly supplied designs mean we won’t need to come back to you, which might cause annoying delays. Foiling has very little impression into the card (very little show-through on the reverse) and looks great on single or double thick stocks. If you choose a thinner stock (e.g 300gsm) then the impression for Letterpress will not be as deep as a thicker stock (e.g 600gsm or double-thick)You will run the risk of show-through on the other side if we don't duplex the stock (double-thick)If you choose a double thick stock for Letterpress AND Foiling on the same design, we’ll Foil first (it’s a little easier with the heat and the pressure) and then duplex before the Letterpress element. Bear in mind that you can lose some of the impression due to the gluing and pressure required to stick the stocks together.Letterpress impression depth varies from stock to stock. Blind letterpress is fabulous for edging designs/floral patterns etc but if you need the print to be legible consider adding a touch of ink.If you're in any doubt whether your artwork is suitable for Letterpress and digital printing and to check it meets our guidelines submit your design and our Customer Happiness Managers, will let you know ASAP if there's any issues to fix or you're good to place your order.
