Digital CMYK Printing
We're experts at digitally printing on our beautiful paper range. Digital printing uses four coloured toners (CMYK) to print directly on to card or paper, so unlike older printing methods like offset printing, there's no need for printing plates - it's modern and cost effective! So, it's easy to digitally print just one sample or hundreds, and you can have a different design (variable data) on every page!
Our digital presses use toners/ink which are collected and recycled by the 'Close the Loop' program with a commitment to zero landfill.
Digital printing is perfect for quick turnarounds. It's also an ideal for personalisation - if you want a different design (on the same size and card stock) or individual guest names on your invitations or menus, then digital printing is the only way to go.
We're constantly researching and testing in The Printery, and chosen a range of digital presses that can print on our luxe and textured stocks with incredible results.
We also offer large format flat-bed printing with CMYK UV-curable inks. Printing is available on our Printery stock range up to A1 (594x841mm) and on our 3.8mm Eco Board from A5 (148x210) to A0 (841x1189).
Good to know facts about Digital Printing
Computer screens render colours in RGB, digital printing uses 4 colour CMYK, it's impossible to reproduce the vibrancy of onscreen colours (and not all colours are achievable with digital CMYK printing).
We colour calibrate our digital presses daily to minimise colour variation, however consistency is not 100% guaranteed, this is simply the nature of digital CMYK printing. There's potentially a 3% acceptable variance in colour from the first proof to the final product.
Never underestimate the difference a card colour can make to your printed colour result. When designing your artwork, please take into account what colour card stock it will be printed on.
