Since 1829, Gmund has manufactured unique papers of all kinds at their mill in the Tegernsee Valley, Germany. A fourth-generation, family-owned company, Gmund Paper’s current range includes over 100,000 varieties and are used by many of the most exclusive brands in the world.
For nearly 200 years, Gmund Paper has been an industry leader in innovation with unrivalled quality and the highest environmental production standards. Peterkin is honoured to be the exclusive Australian distributor of this premium-coloured paper system.
The Gmund Colors Range is Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver.
‘Cradle to Cradle’ means a continuous cycle of raw materials from the beginning of one lifetime to the beginning of the next. C2C sets a global standard for materials, products, and systems that positively impact both people and the planet.
Waste created from old products becomes the ‘food’ for the next. Implemented correctly, this radically reduces landfill, unsustainable energy usage, and pollution.
There’s five sustainability criteria for companies to achieve Cradle to Cradle certification:
- Material Health – Ensuring materials are safe for humans and the environment.
- Product Circularity – Enabling a circular economy through product and process design.
- Clean Air and Climate Protection – Generating clean energy and protecting the environment.
- Water and Soil Stewardship – safeguarding air, water and soil resources.
- Social Fairness – embracing safe, fair and equitable labour practices that advance human rights and strong communities.
